My opinion on the Barber-Max serum
A product that makes a beard grow ? It's a promise we've all heard, at least once, but the results are often inconclusive. Intrigued, I decided to test the serum of the moment developed by a French Start-Up : Barber-Max. So, favorite or flop ?
I have been testing this product daily for 1.5 months now. So I’ll tell you about my experience with the brand as a whole. I got it when it was first launched in France during some vacation. Now, they ship internationally so you can easily get it online !
A little point about my hairiness before starting: I don't really have a beard, it is rather a down with fine hairs mainly on the mustache and the goatee. Half hairless, I am therefore a target of choice to prove the effectiveness of a product called “miracle”.
The Barber-Max experience, approved ?
The site is relatively simple but with practical and dynamic ergonomics. You systematically receive emails for the confirmation of the order and its follow-up. Shipping costs are free, which is a real bonus !
Delivery times are a bit long, it took 10 days for me, probably a consequence of COVID-19 but customer service is great. At the slightest concern, we can easily contact them. First rather positive approach to the brand : a responsive and attentive team.
A miracle Beard Oil ?
Let's get to the heart of the matter : the use of the product and its effects. I use Barber-Max, morning and night. First thing : the smell is great, which can be an asset or a disadvantage, it all depends on your taste. For me, that adds to the experience ! The texture of the oil is very light, absorption is rapid, no wasted time in the morning. No oily film left on the skin, even skincare novices will get by.
I apply 5 to 7 drops to my skin until the product is completely absorbed, it is advisable not to rinse for hours after application, so I simply left it until the evening. Ideally, cleanse your skin before using the serum, this will open your pores and ensure better penetration of the product.
First week, I notice, from the second day, that my skin is more hydrated, no more patches of dryness. The skin appears healthier, my beard is softer and fuller. Another glaring fact, my hairs grow much faster.
The days go by and I only notice a clear change from the second week : I clearly see a change in the existing hairs which are getting stronger and the appearance of new hair follicles on the empty areas. Surprised by this rapid development, I therefore wait the next few weeks to see if the effects persist : placebo effect or magic composition ?
As of right now, my beard has definitely changed. It is certainly not yet completely full, holes are still present (especially on the cheeks) but I am far from my starting base. I will therefore continue the treatment for 1 or 2 months to avoid the loss of gains (which happens with Minoxidil) and improve the results obtained.
The changes take time but appear, I must say that I am rather very surprised (pleasantly) especially since the product is accessible and offers a composition of natural origin. If you are hairless, however, don't expect to be bearded in a month. It will take, I think a use for at least 2 months to get a true change with visible and durable changes.
So Top or Flop? My opinion !
“Hair by hair, the whole beard will come.”
Overall, I am satisfied and convinced of the benefits this product will have on your beard. If you already have a good base, this product will be perfect for densifying your beard and giving it a boost by filling in your holes. The hairs will be softer, denser and the irritation problems related to your hair will disappear.
However, for the beardless, the change will take longer. Don't expect a beard to grow in less than 30 days, but with daily treatment for 2 months, you are sure to get a transformation. So I only have one piece of advice to give you : try the Barber-Max experience, you might be surprised like me !
